Description
The Ozone Pocket Rocket V2 Ultra-X takes the all-round Pocket Rocket V2 blueprint to the absolute limit. Using premium lightweight performance materials and precision engineering, Ozone built it for maximum float, a tiny packdown size, rapid redeployment and light-breeze performance. Where the standard Pocket Rocket V2 is a versatile do-it-all wing, the Ultra-X is a precision-tuned, ultra-premium model for riders who want effortless downwind maneuvers, unmatched packability and early foiling in the softest breezes.
Highlights
- Light-wind and drift performance: flies in almost no wind and hangs in the air during downwind transitions. When you turn toward the wing it floats reliably without falling out of the sky, so you can commit to technical turns without worrying about slack lines.
- Up to 17% weight savings and about 20% less pack volume: premium 10D (25 g) canopy fabric and 27 g hard-finished rib material make a compact wing that stashes easily in a harness.
- 90 g monobloc carbon control bar: a 35 cm ultralight carbon bar with ergonomic finger rests, an A-line stopper nub and a textured EVA grip.
- Color-coded, splice-coated bridle system: stiff, coated lines that hand-slide smoothly, resist tangles, avoid rope rash and allow lightning-fast redeployment.
- New Ultra-X backpack: a lightweight, spacious pack with wide, load-spreading straps, an adjustable harness system with chest strap, breathable mesh paneling and an internal stash pocket.
Ultralight construction
To shave off every gram without losing strength, Ozone removes non-structural material from the internal ribs and leaves only what is needed to distribute the loads. That gives the ribs their distinctive cutout look. Combined with the 10D canopy and 27 g rib material, it delivers weight savings of up to 17% and about 20% less packing volume than the standard Pocket Rocket V2.

Ultra-X or standard Pocket Rocket V2?
Ozone says the standard Pocket Rocket V2, winner of the 2026 AWSI Innovation of the Year Award, is a versatile do-it-all wing. The Ultra-X is the ultra-premium, lighter and more packable version. See our Ozone Pocket Rocket V2 Parawing for the standard model.
